    1. Yes, the main point about being able to see how song chords are related by using the “Number System” is that if you change the song to a different key it’s much easier to still be able to play it. If you know a song uses the 1-4-5 chords, in C that’d be C-F-G, but in other keys it’s a simple process to know what chords to play. In D: D-G-A, in E: E-A-B, etc. Hope that helps.

    1. “Praise” and “Worship” songs are usually quite simple chords and chord changes, meaning that all you need is a basic chord chart for the songs and the ability to apply some of the basic playing patterns you can use to make playing chords sound good, some of which you can find right here in these 10 free lessons (and more in the members area if you want to continue on from there.

This is a simple 4-bar chord chart:
      | C | G | G | F |
-That tells you to play one measure/bar of “C-Major” (counting 1, 2, 3, 4), the two bars of G-Major, then one bar of F Major. That’s all there is to it. There are simple playing patterns for both the right and left hands that you can apply to these chords that will make them sound nice and professional, and either you or other people sing the melody/words over the chords, and you’re off to the races. 🙂

A lot of people try to make it all sound harder than it needs to be, but that’s truly all you have to do, hope that inspires you.

    1. There’s more to playing complete songs than I can explain in this handful of videos, if you want to continue on I suggest seeing if a Piano Genius membership is right for you, there’s dozens of hours of training all broken down into bite-sized pieces. Playing songs from basic chord charts (instead of sheet music) is the way I play songs. Thanks for being here, let me know if you have any other questions.
