How do I cancel my recurring billing subscription? | PianoGenius.com

Solution

If you'd like to cancel your recurring billing membership I'd hate to see you go but thanks for being a Piano Genius member!

You can cancel your membership at any time and stop being billed further. There are two types of memberships, and depending on which one you have, here's what will happen when you cancel:

1) If you started your membership with a "trial" of Module 1, that means you are on a one-Module-per-month membership, meaning if you've been a member for 3 months you have three "permanent" numbered Modules that you will still have access to if you choose to cancel. If you cancel, you won't have permanent access to any Modules other than the number of Modules that equals how many months you've been an active member.

2) If you started your membership with an "All Access" membership, you have All Access to all available Modules for as long as you're an active member. If you cancel your recurring billing, you will no longer have access to the PianoGenius.com training videos.

Please note that the current monthly membership cost is $24.95 USD, if you're "grandfathered in" at a lower previous membership cost, if you cancel and re-join in the future it will be at whatever the current rate is at the time.

Note: If you click "Unsubscribe" on an email update you get from me, that does NOT cancel your recurring billing subscription, that just unsubscribes you from email updates, and since I only send out email when it's important, there's no reason to do that.

If You're Having Trouble Staying Logged In:
On April 12th we upgraded part of our system to keep things fast and secure. If you're seeing issues staying logged in, a quick fix is to clear cookies for pianogenius.com or log in using a private/incognito browser window.

Especially with Chrome and Safari browser, once you log in and click on another page it might kick you back out and ask you to log in again. Frustrating, I know, sorry about that!

There's nothing "wrong", it's just that the "legacy cookies" in your browser from before the upgrade may not keep you logged in.

Simple Fixes:
- Try using a different browser than what you're using. Firefox, etc, whatever you don't normally use.
- Open a private/incognito mode page in your browser. Normally you'd click on the top right of the browser and select "New Private Window", that'll fix the issue.
- You can also just delete the existing cookies in your browser, or if you know how to do it just delete the PianoGenius.com cookie.

I apologize for any inconvenience — not being able to stay logged in is frustrating, but this is a one-time upgrade issue that can be fixed with any of the 3 above methods.
